AI & Automation Tech Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on AI & Automation Tech Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of end-to-end automation solutions across ZEDRAs global operations.

You will be responsible for running automation projects from ideation through to build, test, and release into production. As AI & Automation Tech Lead, you will combine deep technical expertise in Automation Anywhere and Microsoft Power Platform with strong solution architecture skills and the ability to engage confidently with business stakeholders.

Candidates can be based from Kochi, Trivandrum or Chennai with flexibility to travel to Bangalore office.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of automation projects: idea generation, requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy automation solutions using Automation Anywhere and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).
• Build and optimize Power Automate flows, integrating with Microsoft 365 apps and third-party services. Collaborate with business analysts, process owners, and stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and deliver business value.
• Facilitate and participate in business workshops, translating requirements into technical solutions.
• Maintain and optimize existing automations for reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Ensure best practices in coding, documentation, security, and compliance are followed.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to peer reviews.
• Stay current with advancements in RPA, AI, and related technologies, and proactively recommend improvements.

Knowledge & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with Automation Anywhere, including complex workflows and API integrations.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Power Platform, especially Power Automate (flows, connectors, approvals), and integrating with Microsoft 365.
• Exposure to GenAI, Agentic Automation, Co-Pilot
• Understanding of LLMs
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript.
• Demonstrable experience in document automation (OCR, IDP, data extraction).
• Solution architecture mindset: able to design scalable, robust, and secure automation solutions.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Familiarity with development tools such as Git, Visual Studio/VS Code, and SQL databases.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and web frameworks (React, Angular) is a plus.
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments is desirable.
• Excellent documentation skills (Solution Design Documents, technical specifications).
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
