Stipend: 12,000/month

Hours: 10 AM 6 PM, Monday to Saturday

JD Jones is a century old manufacturing company undergoing a serious modernization push: CNC machines, industrial robotics, automation systems. We need sharp, curious people who can look at our processes, spot inefficiencies, and build AI powered solutions to eliminate them.

We're not looking for coders. We're looking for thinkers who code.

You won't be assigned a ticket queue. You'll be given problems and the freedom to solve them your way.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Identify manual, repetitive, or broken processes and automate them

- Build internal tools, dashboards, scripts, and AI systems that solve real problems

- Work with databases, APIs, and backend systems

- Propose and delete useless processeswe value subtraction as much as addition

- Collaborate directly with operations, manufacturing, and management teams

REQUIREMENTS

Technical Skills:

- Python production code, not just Jupyter notebooks

- SQL complex queries, schema design, optimization

- Backend & database experience APIs, data pipelines, server side logic

- AI/ML fundamentals understands how models work and when to use them

AI-Native Development:

You must actively use AI coding tools. Familiarity with at least one of:

- Claude Code

- Google Antigravity

- Cursor

- GitHub Copilot / Codex

Personal Projects (Required):

You must have built something meaningful on your own, something that solved a real problem or explored genuine curiosity. We're not interested in tutorial follow alongs or generic portfolio fillers.
