Job Description

Job Summary:

 

We are seeking a skilled and motivated level 2 network engineer to join our team onsite. The
successful candidate will have a solid understanding of network architectures and protocols,
experience with network hardware, about the ability to efficiently diagnose and resolve
network issues.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Network Architecture: Understand and support LAN, WAN, and WLAN network architectures to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.
• Hardware Management: Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points, with a focus on HPE Aruba devices.
• Network Protocols: Configure and manage network devices using standard protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
• Network Security: Implement and maintain network security practices, including VPNs, Access Control Lists (ACLs), and Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure network availability.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.

 

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or a related role.

 

 

• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in configuring and managing HPE Aruba network devices.
• Strong understanding of LAN, WAN, and WLAN network architectures.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
• Experience with network security practices such as VPNs, ACLs, and IDS/IPS.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.

 

• Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

 

• Preferred Qualifications:
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
• Experience with other network hardware vendors and technologies.
• Knowledge of scripting or automation tools to streamline network management tasks.
