Job Summary:
The Sr. Manager / AGM Training & Placement will lead the universitys Training & Placement function, strengthen corporate partnerships, enhance student employability, and drive campus recruitment initiatives. The role involves strategic planning, industry engagement, placement execution, and team leadership to ensure strong placement outcomes across programs.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Relations & Business Development
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners across industries.
- Identify new recruiters and generate placement opportunities.
- Lead corporate outreach strategies to increase campus hiring and manage campus recruitment, internships, and placement activities across programs.
Campus Recruitment & Placement Execution
- Plan and execute end-to-end campus recruitment drives.
- Coordinate pre-placement talks, assessments, interviews, and offer rollouts.
- Ensure smooth communication between recruiters, students, and academic departments.
- Track and achieve annual placement targets (CTC, number of offers, core placements, etc.).
- Track, analyze, and present placement statistics and reports to senior management
- Oversee maintenance of student placement data, recruiter databases, and placement MIS.
Strategy & Reporting
- Develop an annual placement strategy aligned with university goals.
- Maintain placement data, MIS reports, analytics, and dashboards.
- Present periodic reports to senior management.
- Ensure adherence to institutional policies, compliance standards, and ethical practices during all placement activities.
- Represent the institution in corporate meetings, industry forums, and networking events.
Team Leadership
- Provide strategic leadership and mentoring to the corporate relations/placement team and ensure effective team handling.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor performance metrics.
- Coordinate with academic departments to assess student readiness and align industry requirements with curriculum outcomes.
Qualifications
Masters degree (MBA preferred).
815 years of experience in training & placement, corporate relations, and industry engagement, with a proven track record of building strong corporate partnerships in a reputed university or higher education institution.
Candidates with prior experience in the education sector and relevant functional exposure will be preferred.
