Job Description

Job Title: Affiliate Team Lead

Location: Hyderabad

Work Mode: Semi Hybrid Mode (4days work from office) and (1 day work from home (either Monday or Wednesday or Friday)) in a week


Job Goal

The Affiliate Marketing Team Lead is responsible for owning, scaling, and optimizing the affiliate marketing channel end-to-end to drive profitable growth for a Home, Garden, and Furniture e-commerce business.

This role leads the affiliate team, defines channel strategy, manages budgets and partner relationships, and ensures that affiliate traffic delivers high-quality revenue, strong ROI, and brand-safe growth. The role also acts as a key cross-functional link between Marketing, Commercial, BI, and Tech teams.


Core activities

1. Affiliate Strategy & Channel Ownership

  • Define and execute the affiliate marketing strategy aligned with commercial goals and category priorities (Home, Garden, Furniture).
  • Translate business objectives into monthly and quarterly affiliate targets .
  • Identify growth opportunities by partner type (content, cashback, loyalty, influencers, deal sites).
  • Drive continuous innovation and testing of new affiliate models and placements


2. Budget & Performance Management

  • Plan, allocate, and manage affiliate budgets to maximize ROI and contribution margin.
  • Monitor daily and weekly performance across key metrics:
  • Revenue, ROI, CPA, EPC, AOV, CTR, conversion rate
  • Partner-level performance and attribution
  • Optimize commission structures and incentives based on profitability and partner value.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and attribution across devices and channels.


3. Affiliate Recruitment & Relationship Management

  • Recruit, onboard, and develop high-quality affiliate partners relevant to Home, Garden, and Furniture audiences.
  • Maintain strong relationships with top-performing partners and networks.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, commissions, and placements.
  • Ensure full compliance with affiliate policies, brand guidelines, and legal requirements.


4. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop the affiliate marketing team.
  • Set clear goals, priorities, and performance expectations.
  • Foster a data-driven and test-and-learn culture.
  • Ensure operational excellence and scalability of affiliate processes.


5. Reporting, Analytics & Insights

  • Develop and maintain performance dashboards using GA4, Looker Studio, BI tools, and CRM data.
  • Deliver detailed weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports covering:
  • Revenue and ROI
  • Contribution margin
  • Partner-level insights
  • Budget usage and forecasts
  • Provide clear, actionable recommendations for optimization and growth.


6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the central point of contact for all affiliate marketing activities.
  • Work closely with:
  • Commercial teams on category focus and promotions
  • Brand & Content teams on messaging and creative guidelines
  • Tech & BI teams on tracking, attribution, and automation
  • Align affiliate activity with broader performance marketing and commercial calendars.

Revenue & Profitability

  • Achievement of affiliate revenue targets
  • ROI and contribution margin from affiliate channel
  • Growth in revenue share of total online sales

Partner Growth & Quality

  • Increase in number of active, high-quality affiliates
  • Revenue concentration reduction (healthier partner mix)
  • Performance growth of top-tier and strategic partners

Campaign & Traffic Performance

  • Improvements in CTR, conversion rate, EPC, and AOV
  • Growth in qualified traffic, leads, and conversions
  • Successful execution of seasonal and promotional campaigns

Operational & Compliance Excellence

  • Accurate and timely performance reporting
  • Low incident and compliance issue rate
  • On-time execution of affiliate launches and campaigns

Leadership & Process

  • Team performance against goals
  • Clear documentation and scalable affiliate processes
  • Stakeholder satisfaction across Marketing and Commercial teams


Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

  • Proven experience in affiliate marketing , ideally in e-commerce
  • Strong understanding of performance metrics and ROI-driven marketing
  • Experience managing budgets, partners, and teams
  • Hands-on experience with GA4, affiliate platforms, and reporting tools
  • Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills


Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in Home, Garden, or Furniture e-commerce
  • Knowledge of attribution models and BI tools
  • Experience working in international or multi-market environments
