In SAP procurement at PwC, you will focus on implementing, configuring, and maintaining the SAP Procurement module within an organisation. You will utilise this module to streamline and automate the procurement process, including purchasing, supplier management, contract management, and inventory management.

We assist our clients in capitalizing on technology improvements, implementing new capabilities, and achieving operational efficiencies by managing and maintaining their application ecosystems. We help our clients maximize the value of their SAP investment by managing the support and continuous transformation of their solutions in the areas of sales, finance, supply chain, engineering, manufacturing and human capital

Preferred Knowledge:  

  • User Support and Training: 

  • Provide support to end-users by troubleshooting issues and resolving SAP AP-related queries. 

  • Conduct training sessions for staff to ensure efficient use of the SAP AP system. 

  • Data Management and Reporting: 

  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the AP module. 

  • Develop and generate reports for management to monitor and analyze accounts payable performance. 

  • Compliance and Risk Management: 

  • Ensure that the accounts payable processes comply with internal policies and external regulations. 

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the accounts payable function. 

  • Integration: 

  • Work closely with other SAP consultants and IT teams to ensure integration with other SAP modules and external systems. 

  • Manage any interfaces between SAP and other financial systems or third-party applications. 

  • Project Management: 

  • Lead or participate in projects related to the enhancement of the accounts payable function. 

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project objectives and deadlines are met. 

  • Technical Expertise: 

  • Stay updated on the latest SAP technologies, updates, and best practices related to accounts payable. 

  • Provide technical expertise in the development and maintenance of custom solutions within the SAP AP module. 

  • Vendor Relationship Management: 

  • Work with vendors to resolve payment issues and improve vendor relationships. 

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments. 

 

Technical Skills 

  • Candidate should have done minimum 45 STP implementation projects 

  • Experience with SAP S/4 Hana and FIORI 

  • Minimum 2 E2E implementation 

  • Must have good knowledge of Indirect & Direct Procurement, Inter-company purchase, Stock transfer orders and Invoicing 

  • Exceptional Communication and Interpersonal skills 

  • System Configuration and Implementation: 

  • Configure the SAP system to meet the specific accounts payable needs of the organization. 

  • Implement SAP AP modules, ensuring seamless integration with other financial modules like Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, etc. 

  • Process Optimization: 

  • Analyze current accounts payable processes and identify areas for improvement. 

  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline AP processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency. 

  • Must have design and configuration experience in: Business Partner, Sourcing, Procurement, Pricing, Inventory management, Physical inventory, Release Management, Version Management, Valuation and account assignment, Invoice verification. 

  • Must have Integration experience SAP with non-SAP external systems (Supplier collaboration, Invoicing, etc.) / internal legacy systems 

  • Sound knowledge of purchasing integration with other modules of SAP 

  • Certifications in either S/4 HANA will be an added advantage 

  • Knowledge and Experience of SAP Activate methodology and Agile (SAFe) development methods 

  • Strong understanding and experience of SAP testing tools and other SAP line of business products 

  • In depth knowledge batch jobs, SAP standard reports 

 

 

Delivery lead experience: 

  • Constantly looking to identify impediments early, actively working to resolve those impediments, and escalate when needed. 

  • Management and tracking of cross team/squad dependencies. 

  • Hands-on experience working on reporting and preparing presentations as part of WSR & MSR. 

  • Management and tracking of all high-integrity commitments. 

  • Provides proactive visibility and effectively communicates delivery targets, commitments and progress. 

  • Works to minimize meetings and ceremonies, but when they are needed, they are well-run and efficient. 

  • Encourages a culture of team-driven decision making and commitment. Encourages team trust and facilitates team building events. 

  • Where appropriate, coaches the teams to improve collaboration and outcomes (coaching is the primary responsibility of teams’ managers) 

 

 

Qualification: 

  • Good knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture and functionality  

  • ITIL 4 Certification

  • Self-driven with a can-do attitude, with an excellent communication and client-facing skills  

  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work in a collaborative environment.  

  • Strong relationship builder within the organization and with external partners.
