Job Description

Position: AEM Architect

Experience Required: 815 years (minimum 46 years in Adobe Experience Manager)


Role Overview

The AEM Architect is responsible for leading the end-to-end design, architecture, and implementation of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions. This role combines technical expertise, solution design, integration leadership, and stakeholder coordination to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance digital experience platforms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Architecture & Design

  • Architect end-to-end solutions on AEM Sites, Assets, Forms, and/or Screens .
  • Define component architecture, workflows, content models, templates, OSGi services , and dispatcher caching strategy.
  • Create high-level and low-level design (HLD & LLD) documents.
  • Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, flexibility, and security requirements.

2. Technical Leadership Lead development teams across sprints, reviewing and guiding:

  • AEM components (HTL/Sightly)
  • Sling models
  • OSGi services
  • Integrations with 3rd-party systems (REST, GraphQL, SOAP)
  • Enforce AEM best practices , coding standards, and architectural governance.
  • Conduct design + code reviews.

3. Integration & DevOps Architect integrations between AEM and:

  • CRM / CDP
  • Adobe Analytics, Target, Launch
  • Commerce platforms (Magento, SAP Commerce, Shopify)
  • Search (Solr, Elastic)
  • Work with DevOps to enable
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Cloud Manager (AEMaaCS)
  • Dispatcher configurations
  • Automated deployments

4. AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) Work on Cloud Service architecture

  • Cloud Manager pipelines & performance tests
  • Asset Compute workers
  • Content Transfer Tool
  • CDN + Dispatcher caching strategy

5. Content & Experience Architecture

  • Build scalable content architectures to support multi-site, multi-language deployments (MSM).
  • Personalized experiences using Adobe Target or ContextHub .
  • Design and optimize content authoring workflows .

6. Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with business teams, product owners, marketing teams, and IT stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs.
  • Present architectural recommendations and provide estimations.


Required Skills & Experience Core AEM Skills

  • 815 years (minimum 46 years in Adobe Experience Manager)
  • Strong experience with AEM 6.x and AEM as a Cloud Service
  • Deep expertise in:
  • Sling, OSGi, JCR, CRX
  • HTL/Sightly, JSP
  • AEM workflows
  • Dispatcher
  • Editable templates
  • Content Fragments, Experience Fragments

Backend & Frontend Technologies Java / J2EE

  • Apache Sling Models
  • REST APIs, JSON, GraphQL
  • JavaScript, CSS, HTML

DevOps & Cloud AEM Cloud Manager

  • Jenkins/GitHub Actions
  • AWS/Azure/GCP fundamentals
  • CDN, caching, performance optimization

Adobe Experience Cloud Ecosystem (Preferred but not mandatory)

  • Adobe Target
  • Adobe Analytics
  • Adobe Campaign
  • Adobe Launch
  • AEP/CJA integrations


Preferred Qualifications

  • Adobe Certified:
  • AEM Architect / AEM Developer Expert
  • Experience in:
  • Multi-site Manager (MSM)
  • Headless AEM / Content APIs
  • SPA Editor (React/Vue)
  • Knowledge of DAM optimizations, workflows, renditions
  • Experience in accessibility (WCAG), SEO, security best practices

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
