Advisory and Billing Operations Director for WM Americas (US Shiift)

Your role

Are you an accomplished operations leader with a passion for driving excellence in a dynamic, global environment? Do you bring deep expertise in Advisory account structures, middle office concepts such as trade capture & reconciliation, and project and risk management frameworks? Are you ready to lead an organization of 30 staff covering multiple functions while driving execution of business level transformation?

As Operations Director for Wealth Management Americas, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our Advisory Operations, ensuring robust controls, and supporting digital transformation across both Advisory and Billing domains. Our Operating Head organization is committed to strategic and operational excellence, and we seek leaders who:
• Champion Advisory Operations, elevating standards in account structure, trade capture, reconciliation, and program administration.
• Drive the organization forward with purpose and passion, delivering excellence in both Advisory and Billing Operations.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives, with a particular focus on enhancing Advisory platforms and processes.
• Serve as a role model for the organization’s principles and behaviors, inspiring others to excel in Advisory and Billing functions.
• Execute processes and controls with precision, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete management across Advisory and Billing scopes.
• Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and statutory requirements, as well as internal policies and contractual obligations.

Your team

You’ll be based in Mumbai or Pune, working within the Wealth Management Americas team. As a member of this team, you will manage one or more of the following departments (but not all):
• Investment Advisory Operations
• Advisory Controls
• Separately Managed Accounts (SMA)
• Unified Managed Accounts (UMA), including oversight of trading desks and new strategy launches
• Platform Support for Advisory applications and asset manager onboarding
• Billing Operations
• Corporate Actions Income Processing
• Clearance & Settlement
• Securities Trade Processing / WM Markets
• Account Transfers
• Mutual Funds, Alternative Investments, Insurance Operations
• Retirement Operations, Tax Reporting, Cost Basis Recon & Service Works
• Margin & Lending, Client Cash Management & Disbursements
Our teams collaborate regionally and globally to uphold the highest standards of supervision, service, and operational risk management, with a strong emphasis on Advisory business concepts.

Your expertise

• Demonstrated experience managing large teams and complex operational processes, with a proven track record in Advisory Operations.
• Strong knowledge of Advisory business concepts (SMA, UMA, Portfolio Management, Program Administration), operational concepts (Trade Capture, Reconciliations, Risk Management Frameworks), and Billing platforms and design (Advance vs Arrears calculations, billing split structures, etc.).
• Deep experience with vendor management, issue and problem management, and project tracking, especially within Advisory Operations.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and drive change in Advisory environments.
• Proven ability to deliver process improvements and manage transformation in fast-paced Advisory and Billing settings.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant professional certification preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in financial services operations, with at least 2 years in a management role, ideally with significant Advisory Operations exposure.
• Fluency in English is essential.
