Adobe AEM Administrator

Job Description:

Hiring an experienced Adobe AEM 6.5 Administrator to set up, configure, and manage on-premise AEM 6.5 production and non-production environments in our Bangalore office. The role owns environment stability, security, and performance, working closely with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams, with exposure to Opsera-based CI/CD pipelines as a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade on-prem Adobe AEM 6.5 (Author, Publish, Dispatcher) across dev, QA, UAT, stage, and prod.
• Manage deployments, hotfixes, service packs, and patches in coordination with infra/DevOps teams and release management.
• Monitor system health, performance, logs, dispatcher/cache, and troubleshoot environment issues on Linux-based servers and web/app tiers.
• Implement and maintain backup, recovery, security hardening, and DR procedures for on-prem AEM environments.
• Administer users, groups, permissions, and workflows, and support change and release processes.

Qualifications

• 35 years of dedicated Adobe AEM administration experience, including at least one large-scale on-prem AEM 6.5 production implementation.
• Proven experience managing multiple AEM environments (dev to prod) and completing at least 3 full on-prem AEM environment setup/upgrade cycles end-to-end.
• Experience configuring and operating CI/CD pipelines using Opsera (preferred) or similar DevOps orchestration platforms for deployments.
• Strong knowledge of Apache Sling, OSGi configurations, Dispatcher rules, Linux administration, web/application servers (e.g., Apache HTTPD, Tomcat/JBoss), and basic shell scripting.

Language Requirements

• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken) for coordination with global and onsite stakeholders.
• Familiarity with regional languages (e.g., Kannada or Hindi) is an added advantage for local collaboration in the Bangalore office.
