Admissions Counselor

Job Summary:

You will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and making judgments on student academic applications to be admitted to developmental, certification programs.

You must be able to assess a students overall academic achievements, leadership skills, and general merit for admission purposes. They must understand the admissions process and requirements of their organization.

Responsibilities:

• Interview students and assess their academic achievements, leadership capabilities, and suitability for admission.
• Provide prospective students with information related to enrollment procedure and requirements.
• Research and evaluate student eligibility qualifications.
• Attend college fairs and guidance counseling events to reach out to potential admission candidates.
• Provide guidance and advice to students regarding the admissions and enrollment procedures.
• Define, develop, and implement admission process policies, procedures, and standards.
• Monitor and maintain records related to admission.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in higher education administration, student counseling, or related field.
• Knowledge of the admissions process and institutional eligibility criteria.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and data analysis aptitude.
• Ability to multi-task and handle a high volume of work.
