Job Description
| Must-Have | Natural/ADABAS |
| Good-to-Have | Natural/ADABAS certification, Handson SQL experience around joins, sub-queries, aggregate functions Unix shell scripting |
| Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role |
| Monitor and maintain the stability of Adabas/Natural applications supporting services in Linux server environment |
| Design and implement Adabas databases to ensure optimal performance and scalability |
| Administering the Natural development environment |
| Experience with Adabas Utilities: Use of utilities like ADAREP, ADABAS, ADASAV, ADAORD,FLOCK etc. for database maintenance and reporting |
| Performing database startup and shutdown |
| Performing and restoring database backups |
| Performing Adabas File Reorders |
| Using the Software AG Update Manager to apply updates/fixes |
| Monitor database performance using tools like Adabas Manager |
| Develop and implement backup and recovery procedures using Adabas Backup and Recovery Tools |
| Optimize database performance through query optimization, indexing, and buffer pool management |
| Monitor database using Adabas Performance Monitor to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks |
