Job Description

Migration to Azure AVS Cloud Platform: 
            Migrating domain controllers and DHCP servers to Azure AVS (Azure VMware Solution) can provide benefits like scalability, flexibility, and potential cost savings.
•    DHCP Server Management: 
                Managing and configuring DHCP servers, including scope creation, authorization, and reservations, is essential for IP address allocation and network management.
Domain Consolidation: 
              This involves merging multiple Active Directory domains into a single domain, which can streamline management and potentially enhance security. Careful planning and execution are required to minimize disruptions during the consolidation process.
•     Domain Controller Patching and Compliance: 
              Regular patching using WSUS (Windows Server Update Services) and ensuring compliance with N-1 (patching to the second-most recent version) helps maintain security and stability.
•    Domain Controller Upgrades:
           This involves the upgradation of Domain Controllers to N Versions maintaining technical currency across all Services.
•    DNS Custom Partitions and Replication: 
               Managing DNS custom partitions and resolving replication issues ensures accurate and consistent DNS data across the environment.
•    Azure Log Analytics:
               Log Analytics provides centralized log management and analysis, aiding in troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
•    Documentation: 
              Maintaining comprehensive documentation, including plans, procedures, and troubleshooting steps, is crucial for tracking progress, knowledge sharing, and future reference.
•    DNS Configuration and Management: 
             This encompasses managing DNS zones, records, and policies to ensure efficient and reliable name resolution. Implementing high availability and disaster recovery configurations is essential to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
•    Active Directory Disaster Recovery: 
              Regular disaster recovery drills using tools like BMR and Quest Recovery Manager are vital to ensure business continuity in the event of a major outage.
•     Azure On-Demand Vulnerability Assessments and Remediation: 
             Regular vulnerability scanning and remediation in Azure helps identify and address security weaknesses.
•    Certificate Authority Management across Distribution Centers

               Managing Azure AD Connect ensures synchronization between on-premises and cloud directories, while Azure Private DNS provides name resolution for Azure resources within virtual networks.
•    Risk and Vulnerability Management
•    Strong ITIL process experience
•    Knowledge and experience in Agile framework is preferred
.

An ideal candidate will possess some of the following additional skills: 

•    AD Patch Management
•    Working with PowerShell scripts
•    Automation skills

•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
•    Self-motivated individual capable of independent work 
•    Leadership experience; prior experience in managing a team is key
•    Experience in Major Incident Management process, data center and distribution center management and associated support

Qualifications 

•    Certified in MS Directory Services
•    Certified in Azure Cloud and good work experience on Azure AD preferred
•    Working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, PC hardware, MS Office, and other systems 
•    Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Server Operating System & Active Directory 
•    Strong understanding of ITIL processes, procedures and willingness to follow them 
•       A college degree (4 year) and/or a technology degree 
•       Certificate on Cloud Technology could be additional benefits (Azure/GCP).
