The Senior Active Directory engineer is a subject matter expert in all facets of Active Directory, including domain design, buildout, domain trusts, migration, GPOs, DNS, security, and best practices. This person will need to support and document a global AD infrastructure and PKI across multiple domains and forests.

Provide ultimate responsibility for design, architecture, support, and upgrades of Microsoft Active Directory and Windows based systems across our global infrastructure

Networking services and protocols related to Active Directory such as DNS, DHCP, Kerberos, PKI, and Certificate Authorities

Evaluate changes to Microsoft OS server and Active Directory components. Plan the life cycle upgrades

Active Directory performance monitoring and capacity planning; problem analysis and recovery

Support and troubleshoot Azure Active Directory, including on-prem to Azure synchronization

Maintain process and engineering documentation

Responsible for reviewing, documenting and managing the current group policy objects

Responsible for creation of group policy objects as needed for managing the domains

Promote and demote domain controllers as required by datacenter migration activities

Proactive and reactive monitoring of all Active Directory components using existing and native monitoring tools

Develop and implement a strategy for global domain consolidation.

Ensure best practices are followed for all active directory environments

Work with external auditors and internal compliance team. Produce reports, remediate vulnerabilities, and implement security requirements.

Provide on-call Active Directory support and troubleshoots AD issues

Bachelor’s degree required
10+ years in Active Directory experience, with 5+ years in design and implementation
Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Advanced Active Directory troubleshooting required
Powershell scripting preferred
Experience with Azure AD preferred
