Accounts Specialist & Project Evaluation

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Management (60%)

• Finalization of Accounts:Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring the Balance Sheet and P&L reflect accurate data from both the Borivali office and the Tarapur plant.
• Taxation & Statutory Compliance:ManageGST filing, TDS returns, and ensure 100% compliance with the latest 2026Income Tax regulations.
• Audit Management:Serve as the primary point of contact for statutory and internal auditors, maintaining digital audit trails inTally Prime.
• Working Capital Management:Monitor cash flow, oversee accounts receivable/payable, and optimize credit cycles with chemical raw material suppliers.

2. Project Evaluation & Financial Planning (40%)

• Feasibility Analysis:Conduct financial modeling for new projects (e.g., adding a new reactor line or entering a new chemical intermediate market).
• Capital Budgeting:Utilize techniques likeNPV (Net Present Value),IRR (Internal Rate of Return), andPayback Periodanalysis to advise the GM on investment viability.
• Cost-Benefit Analysis:Evaluate the "Make vs. Buy" decisions for specialized chemical intermediates and assess the ROI onETP (Effluent Treatment Plant)upgrades.
• Variance Analysis:Track actual project spending against budgeted estimates and report deviations to the senior leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education:M.Com, Inter-CA, or MBA in Finance.
• Experience:57 years in a manufacturing environment (Chemical or Pharma preferred), with at least 2 years involved in project costing or financial analysis.
