Accounts Receivable Specialist

Reports to: Accounting Manager (US)

Shift Type: 8AM - 5PM EST

Location: Noida/Chandigarh

Position Summary:

Accounts Receivable Specialist oversees and manages the Accounts Receivable function. To provide financial, clerical, and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate payment of accounts.

Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting preferred with 5 years of experience in SMB .
• Experience with QuickBooks, Excel, PowerPoint
• Experience of working with teams of English-speaking countries
• Service industry experience is a big plus!
• Experience in US accounting/GAAP is must.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares, posts, verifies and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
• Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers .
• Ensuring that all accounting and reporting is performed timely and in accordance with (local) GAAP .
• Monitor Aging Reports to identify/collect slow and/or unapplied payments, and credits .
• Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
• Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent account holders to request payment.
• Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts
• Assists in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger.
• Assists in reconciling revenue accounts each month.
• Respond to all correspondences and requests from customers.
• Account reconciliations to ensure accurate receivable balances.
• Assist in preparing the month end closing report/other reports as and when required by the management.
• Assist with adjustments (within eligible guidelines), including misapplied payments, overpayments, customer overage/shortage requests, etc.
