Inviting applications for the role of Management Trainee and Assistant Manager | Account Payable

Shift Timings - Rotational


Responsibilities:

Advanced Invoice Processing: Oversee the review and processing of complex invoices related to insurance accounts payable, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Payment Management: Execute and manage payment batches, including checks, automated clearing house (ACH), and wire transfers, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.

Vendor Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, resolving payment inquiries and discrepancies efficiently to ensure smooth transactions.

Reconciliation: Lead regular reconciliations of accounts payable records with vendor statements, ensuring accuracy and addressing discrepancies promptly.

Compliance and Controls: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls related to accounts payable payments, implementing best practices to enhance compliance.

Reporting and Analysis: Prepare detailed reports on payment status and accounts payable metrics, providing insights for strategic management decision-making.

Process Improvement Initiatives: Identify opportunities for automation and enhancements in the payment process, driving initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Minimum Qualifications:

Commerce Graduate / Postgraduate

Relevant years of experience in managing AP- payments

Experience in working with Oracle and AP / Payroll tools would be added advantage

Experience in working with an insurance client will be an added advantage


Preferred Skill Set:

Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures

Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)

Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate issues to senior management

Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail

Self-starter, with ability to work under own initiative

Strong time management skills

Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
