Position Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable and Compliance Specialist.


Key Responsibilities


1. Procure to Pay (P2P)

  • Process outgoing payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Record and verify payable transactions in global accounting software (Oracle NetSuite, Acumatica).
  • Reconcile accounts payable ledger and vendor statements.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in vendor accounts, including GST input.
  • Maintain strong relationships with banking partners and support banking operations.
  • Manage vendor master data and ensure proper documentation.


2. Compliance & Global Statutory Requirements

  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings across all regions.
  • Monitor and implement changes in internal processes due to updates in labour laws, tax regulations, and global compliance standards.
  • Prepare and file statutory returns, challans, and reports across jurisdictions.
  • Ensure proper TDS is deducted on vendor invoices.
  • Handle GST compliance related to vendor invoices and input tax credits.
  • Support compliance with PF, PT, FEMA, and other statutory regulations.
  • Coordinate with external consultants for statutory audits, tax audits, transfer pricing preparation, and filings.
  • Ensure timely advance tax payments and assist in income tax return filings.


3. Payroll Management

  • Administer end-to-end payroll processes for employees across multiple regions.
  • Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, benefits, deductions, and statutory contributions.
  • Maintain employee payroll records and ensure confidentiality.
  • Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to validate payroll inputs.
  • Generate payslips, payroll reports, and statutory filings on time.


4. Record to Report (R2R) Payroll & Compliance

  • Record payroll transactions accurately in the general ledger.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts with bank statements and statutory ledgers.
  • Ensure proper classification of payroll expenses across cost centres and subsidiaries.
  • Post journal entries for payroll, statutory deductions, and compliance-related accruals.
  • Support consolidation of payroll and compliance data for group-level reporting.
  • Assist in preparing schedules for financial audits and statutory reporting.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for all statutory filings and audit trails.


5. Reporting & Financial Calendar

  • Generate reports on accounts payable status and vendor reconciliations.
  • Prepare accruals and journal entries for month-end reporting.
  • Assist in finalizing financial statements for subsidiaries.
  • Provide data and analysis to support budgeting, expense accounts, and cost centre management.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to meet finance calendar deadlines.


6. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with procurement, finance, HR, and compliance teams to streamline processes.
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve queries and maintain positive relationships.
  • Liaise with auditors, consultants, and government authorities for assessments, notices, and compliance matters.
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistency in compliance practices.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee payroll queries and compliance clarifications.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives to improve efficiency in the P2P and R2R cycles.


Qualifications & Soft Skills


  • Bachelors or masters degree in commerce, Accounting, or related field.
  • 35 years of experience in accounts payable, payroll, and statutory compliance.
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping, accounting principles, and statutory regulations.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP/accounting software (Oracle NetSuite, Acumatica preferred).
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Integrity and ethical standards in handling vendor, payroll, and compliance matters.
  • Problem-solving mindset with proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities with intercultural competency.
