About the Role


The Senior Executive to Senior Manager will oversee financial reporting, strategic planning, internal controls, team management, cash flow management, and stakeholder management.


Responsibilities


Financial Reporting and Accounting:

  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Oversee the overall accounting operations including vendor bills, employee claims and reimbursements, sales invoices, payroll and other statutory returns.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.


Strategic Planning:

  • Providing financial analysis to support long-term strategic planning.
  • Provide cost control measures and identify potential avenues of cost reduction.
  • Optimum utilization of resources and identify/explore new streams/sources of revenue.


Internal Controls and Compliance:

  • Ensure robust internal controls are in place and operational.
  • Oversee compliance with financial regulations and organization policies.
  • Liaise and coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors and tax advisors and tax authorities.


Team Management:

  • Lead and develop the finance team members, providing coaching and mentoring.
  • Allocate tasks and responsibilities within the finance department.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.


Cash Flow Management:

  • Manage the organizations cash flow ensuring liquidity and financial stability.
  • Oversee treasury functions, including banking relationships and debt management.
  • Optimize working capital and cash management strategies.


Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial objectives with business goals.
  • Present financial results and strategies to senior management.
  • Increase overall satisfaction of faculty and staff, students and other relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in finance, accounting or related field.
  • Professional qualifications such as CA Inter or ICWA Inter.


Required Experience:

  • Senior Executive: Minimum 4 years.
  • Deputy Manager: Minimum 8 years.
  • Manager/ Senior Manager: Minimum of 12-14 years of experience in finance and accounts, with at least 5-7 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in financial planning, analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in managing a team of finance members.
  • Good knowledge in MS Excel & Dashboard preparation.
