Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Team Lead with strong expertise in US Accounting and Real Estate Accounting to lead day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and manage a high-performing accounting team. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage complex accounting processes, drive operational excellence, and act as a key point of contact for US-based clients and internal stakeholders.


Key Operational Responsibilities:

- Perform and review monthly bank reconciliations for real estate properties using YardiOne.

- Investigate bank reconciliation discrepancies and provide solutions to the Financial Analyst team.

- Review property-level financial statements and prepare variance analysis reports.

- Prepare and review investment bank reconciliation reports.

- Draft annual budget templates and coordinate with clients.

- Reconcile tenant security deposits on a monthly basis.

- Manage commission processing using Microsoft Dynamics 365.

- Share daily commission reports with the New York team.

- Ensure accuracy and compliance in commission processing.


Leadership & Team Management Responsibilities:

- Lead, mentor, and motivate the accounting team.

- Communicate process objectives and expectations clearly.

- Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback.

- Review team deliverables for quality and compliance.

- Support team development and skill enhancement.


Process Improvement & Quality Control:

- Identify and implement continuous process improvements.

- Ensure adherence to SLAs and service quality standards.

- Maintain strong internal controls and documentation.


Client & Stakeholder Management:

- Act as the primary point of contact for customers.

- Proactively address customer concerns and service gaps.

- Build strong client relationships.

- Act as a bridge between senior management and operational teams.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 7+ years of US Accounting experience.

- Strong team management experience.

- Hands-on experience with YardiOne and Microsoft Dynamics 365.

- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
