Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and the general ledger
• Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Lead month- and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to support budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning
• Manage and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and performance feedback
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes with required documentation
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting operations
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders
• Oversee payroll processing and certified payroll reporting

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of increasingly responsible accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and inventory accounting.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with key stakeholders, project managers, subcontractors, and other vendors.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or working toward CPA designation.
• Experience with microsoft dynamics 365, JD Edwards.
