Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and the general ledger
- Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Lead month- and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to support budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning
- Manage and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and performance feedback
- Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes with required documentation
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting operations
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders
- Oversee payroll processing and certified payroll reporting
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of increasingly responsible accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and inventory accounting.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with key stakeholders, project managers, subcontractors, and other vendors.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or working toward CPA designation.
- Experience with microsoft dynamics 365, JD Edwards.
