Role Summary

The Accountant will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting audits. This role requires strong ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, growing organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Zoho Books/Tally.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, vendor payments, and customer invoicing.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and cash flows.
  • Track advances, reimbursements, and petty cash.

2. Compliance & Taxation

  • Ensure timely filings of GST (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), TDS, PT, and other statutory requirements.
  • Prepare supporting documentation for monthly/quarterly/annual compliance.
  • Coordinate with CA for statutory and tax audits.

3. Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly MIS reports, P&L, balance sheets, cash flow statements.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

4. Inventory & Asset Management

  • Track inventory movement, material consumption, and stock reconciliation.
  • Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.

5. Process & Internal Controls

  • Strengthen financial processes and controls as per organisational policies.
  • Support internal audits; maintain documentation and SOPs.
  • Assist in process automation through Zoho/ERP tools.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance (B.Com/M.Com).
  • 1-3 years of hands-on accounting experience (startup/manufacturing preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency in Zoho Books/Tally ERP, MS Excel, and finance tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multitask effectively.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience in robotics/automation/manufacturing domain.
  • Knowledge of Zoho Finance Suite (Books, Payroll, Inventory).
  • Exposure to internal audits and financial process design.
