Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations, ensure compliance, and build strong

financial systems to support scale. This role is critical in maintaining financial discipline as we grow across D2C, marketplaces, and

retail.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Operations

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping (sales, expenses, vendor payments, payroll)

Reconcile bank statements, payment gateways (Razorpay), and POS systems

Maintain accurate records in Tally

Track cash flow and working capital

2. D2C & E-Commerce Accounting

Reconcile Shopify / website sales with payment gateways

Manage marketplace reconciliation (Amazon, Myntra, Quickcommerce platforms)

Monitor refunds, COD reconciliations, returns, and inventory adjustments

Work closely with ops to ensure accurate inventory accounting

3. Compliance & Taxation

GST filings and reconciliation

TDS compliance

Vendor compliance documentation

Coordinate with external CA for audits and annual filings

4. Reporting & Insights

Prepare monthly P&L, cash flow statements, and balance sheets

Maintain SKU-level margin tracking

Assist founders with budgeting and forecasting

Support fundraising diligence (data room preparation)

Ideal Candidate

25 years of accounting experience (preferably in D2C / retail / fashion)

Strong understanding of GST and Indian compliance frameworks

Experience with e-commerce reconciliation

Comfortable working in an early-stage, fast-moving startup

Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive

Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets

Nice to Have

Experience working with inventory-heavy businesses

Experience supporting fundraising or investor reporting

Familiarity with ERP systems
