Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant, based in Chennai. The Accountant will handle day-to-day financial transactions including bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The role involves meticulous record-keeping, evaluating financial reports, and collaborating with other departments to support financial planning and analysis.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable Management (vendor invoices, payments, PO, reimbursements & Settlements).
• Perform reconciliation on a periodic basis.
• Compliance & reporting: Ensure adherence to GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances, Prepare AP-related MIS reports.
• Coordinate with auditors and internal teams for timely resolution of queries
• Strong understanding of compliance with financial regulations
• Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
• Knowledge of accounting principles and ERP systems (SAP, Tally, Oracle, Zoho, etc.)
• Maintain proper records and documentation of all agreements/contracts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
• 35 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or general accounting
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter / CMA Inter).
• Experience in the sports industry is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
