Role- Accountant/Bookkeeper with Australian Exp

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian accounting standards.
• Oversee the payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursements while adhering to legal requirements.
• Utilize QuickBooks for bookkeeping tasks, including invoicing, tracking payments, and generating financial reports.
• Implement and maintain process automation to enhance efficiency in accounting workflows and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with IT teams to optimize accounting software solutions and troubleshoot any issues.
• Utilize JIRA for project management and to track progress on financial projects and automation initiatives.
• Prepare monthly and yearly financial statements and reports, analyzing variances and providing insights to management.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, contributing to strategic financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in accounting/bookkeeping roles, specifically in the Australian market.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations.
• Excellent proficiency in QuickBooks and experience with automation tools.
• Familiarity with JIRA or similar project management software.
• Previous experience working in an IT company is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
