Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting and financial operations. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting management with financial insights. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a growing, evolving organization and be keen to build robust financial systems from the ground up


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain books of accounts and manage day-to-day accounting operations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other applicable laws
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance and other reconciliations
  • Assist in budgeting, cash flow management, and financial forecasting
  • Manage payroll processing including statutory deductions and filings
  • Liaise with auditors, banks, vendors, tax consultants, customs and other external agencies
  • Support management with financial analysis and reports for decision-making
  • Contribute to streamlining and improving financial processes, especially in a growing / unstructured setup
  • Exposure to MSME and export business operations will be an added advantage


Qualifications

  • Masters / Bachelors degree in Commerce with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or
  • CA (Inter) / CMA (Inter) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting software such as Tally Prime / ERP / QuickBooks / SAP
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, along with Word and PowerPoint
  • Sound understanding of local tax regulations and statutory compliance

  • Good communication skills in English and the local language
  • Ability to interact confidently with vendors, auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities
  • Smart, self-driven, and detail-oriented with a high level of integrity
  • Willingness to work in a new / evolving organizational setup with a mindset to build and improve systems
