About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant who can manage day-to-day accounting operations, support monthly closures, and ensure compliance across TDS, GST and statutory requirements.
The role requires solid basic accounting knowledge, accuracy in entries, and hands-on experience with reconciliations.
Roles & Responsibilities
Daily Accounting Operations
- Handle basic accounting and day-to-day bookkeeping
- Pass accounting entries accurately (Purchase, Sales, Payment, Receipt, Journal)
- Vendor invoice booking & validation
- Maintain accounting records, ledgers, and documentation
Taxation & Compliance
- Prepare and compute TDS on payments.
- Assist in GST input/output reconciliation.
- Coordinate with CA for monthly and quarterly filings.
- Ensure compliance with statutory deadlines.
Reconciliation & Reporting
- Bank reconciliation on a daily/weekly basis.
- Vendor & customer reconciliation.
- Support month-end closing activities.
- Assist finance lead with MIS and internal reports.
Payments & Vendor Coordination
- Prepare payment sheets.
- Coordinate with internal teams & vendors for invoice queries.
- Ensure timely payments and documentation.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of basic accounting concepts.
- Hands-on experience with accounting entries, TDS, GST.
- Good knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot preferred).
- Attention to detail & accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Good communication & coordination skills.
Key Qualifications & Skills
- 13 years of hands-on accounting experience
- Strong working knowledge of basic accounting, accounting entries, TDS & GST.
- Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / Semi-qualified CA (preferred).
- Experience in a startup / D2C / e-commerce environment (preferred).
- Practical experience on accounting tools such as Tally / Zoho / QuickBooks.
- Good Excel skills (basic formulas, VLOOKUP, Pivot preferred).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation discipline.
