Job Title: Finance - Accounts Manager

Department: Finance & Accounts

Reports To: Managing Director

Location: Cunningham Road, Bengaluru


Job Summary:

The Finance - Accounts Specialist is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, efficiency, and planning of all financial bookkeeping, projections, MIS (Management Information System), tax planning, treasury, and banking coordination. This role requires a meticulous approach to managing accounts, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and supporting the companys financial objectives through effective planning and resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping and Accounting:

Ensure all transactions are accounted for and processed within 24 hours of approval.

Design, update, and maintain a detailed accounting chart of accounts and other ledgers to facilitate accurate slicing and dicing of financial data.

Implement controls to maintain error rates below 0.001% for high transaction volumes, ensuring accurate categorization and minimization of transaction discrepancies.

Oversee an automated system (such as Tally ERP) to handle receipts and payments efficiently, reducing manual intervention and enhancing accuracy.

Maintain a live, automated balance sheet, cash flow statement, and income statement at both the company and project levels.

Financial Projections and Planning:

Prepare, update, and manage detailed budgets and cash flow projections for ongoing projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Collect and analyze data across departments to build project-level projections, including profit and loss, IRR, and cash flow models.

Monitor and analyze the impact of financial projections on cash flow, tax implications, and the companys strategic financial goals.

Management Information Systems (MIS):

Develop and maintain an online MIS platform for company-level and project-level reporting, offering a clear view of actual versus projected performance.

Regularly review MIS data to identify and address any potential financial red flags from departments or heads of group companies.

Tax Planning:

Monitor tax liabilities for various transactions, including payments, receipts, investments, and intercompany loans, focusing on tax optimization.

Work closely with external tax consultants to ensure compliance with GST, labor tax, and other statutory requirements.

Provide timely assistance and documentation for external tax advisors and legal teams in case of claims, audits, or disputes.

Treasury Management:

Stay informed of short-term fund deployment options for effective treasury management, including investments in FDs, corporate debt, or other liquid instruments.

Coordinate with banking partners to optimize fund deployment and secure favorable rates on financing options.

Banking Coordination:

Facilitate banking relationships to drive the companys financing strategy, including documentation support, interest rate negotiation, and product selection.


Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent is a plus.

2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, financial projections, and treasury management.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally ERP) and strong knowledge of financial reporting standards.

Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
