Account Executive

Your primary roles and responsibilities will include:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive and Independent Accountant Jr to join our Finance team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a wide range of accounting and finance functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

• Create purchase requisitions (PR) for finance cost centre
• Review payable entries, process vendor payments, employee reimbursements (CTC and Non CTC) and any other AP payments
• Work closely with our 3rd party vendors on various AP related deliverables
• Ensure timely statutory compliance independently/with a consultant Eg: TDS returns filing, GST etc
• Lead the month end calendar and compliance calendar updates
• Responsible for ensuring timely forex card and travel settlements are done for all international travel.
• Ensure timely EDPMS settlements and maintain a weekly tracker/escalate non compliance if anyHandle third-party and IC receivables ageing
• Upload e-invoices and prepare GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B workings.
• Responsible for monthly Balance sheet reconciliation tracker - collate status from the team and update to leadership team.
• Responsible for completion balance sheet recs associated with the job description with clear explanation in line with the operational policies and procedures
• Maintain TDS receivable accounts and associated reconcilations
• Maintain HC-related entries
• Handling month-end journals/reclasses and ensuring sufficient back up is available for approvals thereon (Eg: Gratuity insurance, employee training, welfare etc)
• Account for ineligible ITC, IT accruals, and Finance & Facility accrual

GREAT TO HAVE

• Education: CA Inter Qualified with 3 years of Articleship experience mandate
• Experience: 25 years in a similar finance/accounting role
• Knowledge of Workday, Adaptive Insights, and MS Office tools is an advantage
• Strong accounting/compliance background with decent communication skills is a must.
• Should be a good team player and be able to help others in the team/swap roles if needed
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
