Position Overview

As an Account Executive at Breathe ESG , you will own the full sales cycle end-to-endfrom prospecting and discovery to demos, negotiation, and handover for onboarding. Youll work closely with the founder, product, and sustainability teams to shape deals and grow key accounts in a fast-moving ESG market.

Key Responsibilities

Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Build working knowledge of ESG frameworks and regulations to clearly position product value
  • Own relationships with senior stakeholders, including CFOs, CSOs / Heads of ESG, Sustainability, Risk, Compliance, and Operations leaders
  • Run structured discovery, qualify needs, and guide clients from evaluation through onboarding (with Customer Success)

Business Development & Deal Closure

  • Prospect, identify, and qualify new opportunities in assigned sectors or regions
  • Manage the full sales cycle: outreach, discovery, demos, proposals, negotiation, and closure
  • Prepare concise proposals, decks, and business cases highlighting ROI and compliance impact

Collaboration & Market Intelligence

  • Represent Breathe ESG at relevant industry events and forums as a credible brand ambassador
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to refine GTM strategy, messaging, and account plans
  • Share market insights and customer feedback to inform product roadmap and positioning
  • Track ESG, sustainability, regulatory, and competitor trends


Education & Experience

  • 35 years of proven B2B sales experience
  • Experience in SaaS, sustainability, ESG, compliance, or tech-led industries is a strong plus
  • Demonstrated track record of closing deals and consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments


Skills & Competencies

Commercial / Technical

  • Strong understanding of B2B sales processes, CRM usage, and pipeline management
  • Consultative, solution-led selling approach
  • Ability to map client needs to product capabilities and structure clear, compelling proposals
  • Comfortable delivering product demos and handling senior stakeholder questions
