Job Description


The Account Director is a senior leadership role responsible for driving strategic direction, revenue

growth, and long-term client partnerships across integrated mandates. This role oversees multiple retainer accounts spanning mainstream (ATL/BTL) and digital ecosystems, ensuring high-quality execution, profitability, and sustained client satisfaction.


The Account Director acts as a trusted business advisor to clients while leading internal cross-functional

teams to deliver 360 communication solutions aligned with business objectives.



Key Responsibilities


1.Strategic Client Leadership

  • Serve as the senior point of contact for key retainer clients.
  • Build C-suite and senior stakeholder relationships.
  • Drive long-term brand, communication, and digital transformation strategies.
  • Provide proactive, insight-led recommendations across offline and digital platforms.
  • Lead quarterly and annual business reviews with strategic roadmaps.


2.Business Growth & Revenue Management

  • Own revenue targets and ensure account profitability.
  • Identify and convert up-sell and cross-sell opportunities across creative, digital, performance, content, and tech solutions.
  • Lead new business pitches and expansion discussions within existing accounts.
  • Drive organic growth and improve client lifetime value.


3.Integrated Campaign Oversight

  • Oversee end-to-end execution of integrated campaigns across ATL, BTL, and digital.
  • Ensure strategic consistency across TV, print, outdoor, social media, digital video, paid media, websites, and performance campaigns.
  • Maintain high standards of creative and digital excellence.
  • Ensure seamless collaboration between creative, media, digital, performance, production, and tech teams.


4.Financial & Commercial Governance

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and margin management across accounts.
  • Ensure commercials reflect scope accurately and manage change requests proactively.
  • Lead contract negotiations and vendor partnerships.
  • Maintain financial discipline while balancing creative ambition.


5.Performance & Insights Leadership

  • Review integrated campaign performance across traditional KPIs and digital metrics (engagement, CTR, conversions, ROI, etc.).
  • Translate analytics into strategic insights and future recommendations.
  • Drive data-backed decision-making across teams.
  • Ensure reporting frameworks meet senior client expectations.


6. Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead and mentor Account Managers and Account Executives.
  • Set performance standards and drive accountability.
  • Foster collaboration across creative, digital, and media teams.
  • Encourage upskilling in emerging digital practices and industry innovations.


7. Market & Industry Expertise

  • Stay ahead of advertising, media, and digital trends.
  • Provide thought leadership to clients and internal teams.
  • Identify new platforms, formats, and technologies relevant to client growth.



Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 8 years of experience in an integrated advertising agency environment.
  • Proven track record of handling large retainer clients across mainstream and digital.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience managing high-value accounts.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of traditional media and digital ecosystems.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to convert data into strategic direction.
  • Excellent presentation and business communication skills.
