Accessibility Tester

Job Title: Accessibility Test Engineer

Experience: 2+ Years

Job Summary:

We are looking for an Accessibility Test Engineer with strong knowledge of WCAG guidelines and web accessibility testing. The candidate will be responsible for identifying, testing, and reporting accessibility issues to ensure websites and applications comply with accessibility standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform accessibility testing using WCAG 2.2 and Section 508 guidelines
• Identify accessibility defects in web applications
• Test using screen readers like NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver
• Perform keyboard-only navigation testing
• Validate ARIA roles, semantic HTML, and focus management
• Use browser developer tools to inspect accessibility issues
• Work closely with developers to explain and validate fixes
• Re-test issues after remediation
• Document defects clearly in JIRA or other tracking tools
• Provide accessibility test reports and compliance documentation

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1/2.2 guidelines
• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, and semantic markup
• Basic understanding of JavaScript (DOM & events)
• Experience with screen reader testing
• Knowledge of accessibility testing tools (axe, Lighthouse, WAVE)
• Strong analytical and documentation skills
