The Opportunity

The company is looking for an Academic Counsellor who enjoys speaking with students and understands the questions, worries, and confusion that come with choosing a college or career path. This role is suitable for someone with prior B2C EdTech experience who believes that good counseling is about understanding people and guiding them patiently.

What You Will Do

Speak with students through calls, video meetings, and chats to understand their background, goals, and concerns

Help students explore and choose colleges and courses that match their interests and academic profile

Explain admission processes, eligibility criteria, and timelines in a simple and clear way

Follow up with students who have shown interest and answer their questions honestly

Share common student concerns and feedback with the internal team to improve counseling support

Responsibilities

Support students from the first conversation until they finalize a college or course

Build trust by giving clear and unbiased advice without pressure

Manage multiple student conversations during busy admission periods while staying attentive and calm

Keep student details and conversation notes updated in the system

Focus on helping students make the right decision rather than pushing quick outcomes

Basic understanding of the Indian higher education system and admission cycles

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain things patiently and clearly

A genuine interest in guiding students instead of selling
