About the Role

The 3D Digital Fabric Technician plays a supporting role in executing Gap Inc.’s fabric digitization workflows. This hands-on position is responsible for converting physical fabric swatches into high-quality digital assets using standardized tools and processes, under the guidance of the Fabric Digitization Team (FDT). This role is ideal for candidates with foundational 3D software experience and strong attention to visual and technical details.
It offers opportunities to grow into advanced digital material creation, 3D apparel development, or cross-functional collaboration with design and sourcing teams.

What You'll Do

Digitize fabrics using Vizoo xTex and CLO 3D software kit following Gap Inc.’s SOP and quality standards
Generate and manage digital material files (.zfab, SBSAR) according to template requirements
Apply physics and texture parameters as instructed by FDT
Ensure tiling, texture repeat, and resolution meet the standard
Support seasonal digitization calendar and maintain file accuracy and organization
Participate in proof of concept of digital fabric and troubleshooting
Regularly maintain and calibrate scanning hardware to ensure optimal performance
Track digitization status daily and escalate issues or blockers
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, sourcing, and tech development

Who You Are

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience using CLO 3D or similar apparel-focused software
Experience using Vizoo xTex scanner or familiarity with equivalent fabric scanning tools
Good understanding of fabric types and constructions
Familiarity with digital fabric file formats (.zfab, SBSAR) and texture repeat principles
Fluent English communication skills – both written and verbal
Detail-oriented and process-driven, with the ability to follow structured workflows
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new tools and workflows
Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple requests simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of Adobe Substance 3D (Designer or Sampler) is a plus
Experience in textile product development, sourcing, or digital product creation
Degree in Fashion Design, Textile Science, Fashion Technology, or related field is an advantage

This is an on-site role based in our Delhi office.
