Job Summary

We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented 3D Animator to bring characters, environments, and visual concepts to life through compelling animation. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of motion, timing, weight, and storytelling, and can produce high-quality animations for films, games, advertisements, simulations, or digital media.

You will collaborate closely with modelers, riggers, designers, directors, and developers to create visually engaging animations that meet artistic and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

Animation Production

Create high-quality 3D animations for characters, creatures, props, and environments

Produce realistic or stylized motion based on project requirements

Animate facial expressions, lip-sync, body mechanics, and secondary motion

Apply principles of animation (timing, spacing, squash & stretch, anticipation, etc.)

Creative Interpretation

Translate storyboards, scripts, and concept art into dynamic animations

Contribute creative ideas to improve storytelling and visual impact

Ensure animations match the intended mood, personality, and style

Technical Execution

Work with rigs, constraints, and animation tools efficiently

Clean up motion capture data when required

Optimize animations for performance (especially for games)

Troubleshoot technical issues related to animation assets

Collaboration

Collaborate with modelers, riggers, lighting artists, VFX teams.

Incorporate feedback from directors and stakeholders

Maintain consistency across scenes and sequences

Asset Management

Organize animation files according to pipeline standards

Maintain version control and documentation

Ensure timely delivery of assets within production schedules

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

Bachelors degree in Animation, Multimedia, Fine Arts, or related field

(or equivalent professional experience)

Technical Skills

Proficiency in industry software such as:

Autodesk Maya

Strong understanding of rigging basics and character setup

Knowledge of physics, anatomy, and body mechanics

Artistic Skills

Strong sense of timing, weight, and movement

Understanding of acting principles for character animation

Ability to match different art styles (realistic, cartoon, stylized)

Keen eye for detail and polish

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

Experience in gaming, advertising

Portfolio demonstrating professional-quality animation work

Familiarity with production pipelines and version control systems
