We are looking for a highly creative 2D Animation Designer who can transform cybersecurity concepts into visually engaging, easy-to-understand animated content.

Role Overview:

As a 2D Animation Designer at SimuPhish, you will be responsible for creating engaging animation-based training modules, awareness videos, scenario simulations, and explainer content. You will work closely with the cybersecurity, content, and product teams to visually communicate complex security topics in a simple, impactful way.

This role requires both strong storytelling ability and technical expertise in animation tools such as Powtoon, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Animate, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-quality 2D animated videos for:
• Phishing awareness training
• Vishing and ransomware simulation explainers
• Employee security awareness campaigns
• Product walkthroughs and explainer videos
• Create animated characters, scenes, and motion graphics aligned with SimuPhish branding.
• Convert scripts and storyboards into compelling visual narratives.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity experts to accurately represent real-world attack scenarios.
• Develop scenario-based animated simulations that reflect real phishing tactics.
• Edit and optimize animations for web, LMS platforms, and enterprise delivery.
• Ensure animations are engaging, educational, and aligned with adult learning principles.
• Maintain brand consistency across all animated content.
• Optimize video output for different formats (MP4, web embed, LMS SCORM packages if required).
• 25+ years of experience in 2D animation or motion design.

Required skills and qualifications:

Strong proficiency in:

• Powtoon
• Adobe After Effects
• Adobe Animate
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe Premiere Pro
• Strong understanding of motion graphics, timing, and visual storytelling.
• Experience creating explainer videos and educational content.
• Ability to simplify technical concepts into visually engaging animations.
• Strong portfolio showcasing 2D animations and motion graphics.
• Good understanding of typography, color theory, and composition.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience creating cybersecurity or compliance training content.
• Knowledge of SCORM/xAPI content standards.
• Experience working in SaaS or ed-tech environments.
• Basic knowledge of UI/UX animation principles.
• Voiceover synchronization and audio editing skills.
