Job Summary

As a 2D Animator and Motion Graphics Artist, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing high-quality 2D animations and motion graphics for videos, social media content, advertisements, explainer videos, and digital campaigns. You will leverage the latest tools, including AI-powered video generation platforms, to create engaging and efficient workflows. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about pushing the boundaries of animation with emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and create 2D animations and motion graphics from storyboard to final output, ensuring alignment with client briefs and brand guidelines.
• Produce videos using a mix of traditional and AI-driven tools to generate dynamic content, including character animations, kinetic typography, visual effects, and transitions.
• Collaborate with designers, video editors, and creative directors to develop concepts, iterate on feedback, and deliver polished assets on tight deadlines.
• Optimize animations for various platforms (e.g., web, social media, broadcast) while maintaining high visual quality and performance.
• Stay updated on industry trends and integrate new tools/technologies to enhance production efficiency.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions, client presentations, and team reviews.
• Handle revisions and ensure all deliverables meet quality standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of professional experience in 2D animation, motion graphics, or a related field, preferably in an agency, studio, or production environment. Portfolio demonstrating diverse projects (e.g., explainer videos, ads, social content) is required.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Expert-level knowledge of Adobe After Effects for compositing, effects, and animation.
• Experience with AI video generation tools such as Google Veo (for text-to-video creation and generative animations).
• Familiarity with motion design tools like Adobe Animate or Toon Boom Harmony for 2D character rigging and animation.
• Proficiency in complementary Adobe Creative Suite tools, including Illustrator (for vector graphics), Photoshop (for asset preparation), and Premiere Pro (for video editing and integration).
• Additional relevant tools (feel free to highlight in your application if experienced):
• Runway ML or Pika Labs for AI-assisted video generation and upscaling.
• Blender (for 2D/2.5D animation workflows and integration with motion graphics).
• Cinema 4D for advanced 3D elements in motion graphics (if blending with 2D).
• Lottie or Rive for creating interactive, web-optimized animations.
• Flowframes or similar for frame interpolation and smooth motion enhancement.

• Soft Skills: Strong storytelling abilities, excellent time management, ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, and a keen eye for design principles (color theory, composition, timing).
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Animation, Graphic Design, Film, or a related field preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
• Other Requirements: Must be willing to work in a hybrid setup, commuting to the office as needed. Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
