Role Overview:-

We are looking for a Hardware Team Lead to take end-to-end ownership of our hardware lifecycle. You will be the technical cornerstone of our hardware department, bridging the gap between product vision and the factory floor. We need a leader who has "production scars" , someone who has successfully navigated the complexities of mass manufacturing and knows how to build hardware that is as robust in the field as it is on the test bench.

Key Responsibilities:-

1. Hardware Architecture & Technical Ownership

• End-to-End Delivery: Drive the hardware development lifecycle (concept to mass production). You own the architecture, component selection, and design integrity.
• Complex PCB Design: Lead high-density design initiatives (2 layer to 6 layer stack-ups), ensuring rigorous control over Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI).
• System Power Engineering: Architect ultra-low power systems for battery-operated IoT. Manage power budgets, battery fuel gauging, and efficient DC-DC conversion for maximum field longevity.

2. Scaling & Production Excellence

• Production Ownership: Champion DFM (Design for Manufacturing), DFA (Assembly), and DFT (Test) principles. You will define the testing strategy that ensures high yield and zero-defect quality in mass production.
• Factory Floor Liaison: Communicating directly with production teams to troubleshoot yield issues, manage production ramps, and drive continuous improvement (CAPA).
• Cost Management: Execute Design for Cost (DFC) strategies, optimizing BOMs without compromising performance or reliability.

3. RF & System Integration

• Wireless Mastery: Oversee the integration of 4G/LTE, GNSS, and BLE/Wi-Fi. You are responsible for antenna performance, RF front-end optimization, and global regulatory compliance (FCC, CE, IC).
• Firmware Synergy: Partner closely with the firmware team to define Hardware Abstraction Layers (HAL), resolve peripheral bottlenecks, and lead smooth board bring-up processes.

4. Leadership & Mentorship

• Technical Governance: Lead design reviews, enforce documentation standards, and foster a culture of engineering excellence within the team.
• Roadmap Definition: Collaborate with product and management teams to define hardware roadmaps that balance innovation with practical scalability.

Qualifications & Experience:-

• Experience: 4-7 years in embedded hardware design with a proven track record of scaling at least two major products from concept to mass production (10k+ units).
• Core Technical Expertise:
• Expert-level proficiency in Altium Designer or Allegro.
• Deep understanding of high-speed/multi-layer PCB design and EMI/EMC mitigation.
• Hands-on experience with advanced lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, Spectrum/Protocol Analyzers).
• Domain Exposure (Preferred): Fintech (POS/Soundbox), Automotive and Agricultural Telematics, or Industrial IoT.
• Education: B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics, ECE, or a related field.
