Job Description
Role : WAS Admin
Experience : 4 to 8 years
Location : Chennai
Key words : Websphere application Server administrators
Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)
WebSphere:
- Monitor and support WebSphere Application Server(WAS -8.5)
- Configure and manage WebSphere cluster, data source and JMS
- Perform deployment of enterprise application in PROD, QA environments
- Troubleshoot application server related issues.
- Apply fixpack and manage SSL certificates.
- Monitor performance metrics, JVM heap utilization, GC logs etc
- Strong knowledge of WebSphere ND architecture, profiles, and admin console.
- Hand-on experience with Linux and shell scripting.
- Monitoring tool experience with ELK, Grafana .
- Change management process for planned changes.
- Knowledge of load balancing, session management and high availability.
- Work with CI/CD and Config tools like Jenkins,Git, Ansible and Puppet for automated deployments.
- Patch management and Coordination with infrastructure teams.
MQ:
- Understanding of IBM MQ concepts Queue,MQ manager, Channels and listeners.
- Perform health checks of queue manger and services.
- Monitor queue depths,channel statuses, and listener availability with Datadog and Grafana.
- Clean up /Move expired or stuck messages on queue.
- Monitoring the dash boards and take immediate action and provide the root cause
