Overview:

These five JDs cover roles across the US Payment Merchant Taxation process. The scope spans three sub-modules: (A) State Tax Levy Process intake and processing of IRS/state levy letters, merchant identification, 24-hour holds, collections, cheque requests, and accounting disbursements; (B) Merchant Tax Reporting liaison with US customers and the IRS for Tax Identification Number (TIN/EIN) accuracy; (C) Escheatment identification and reporting of unclaimed property to state treasuries as per state laws.


JOB DESCRIPTION FOR 4B - (Team Lead Individual Contributor)


Role Summary:

Operate as a senior functional expert (no direct reports) handling the most complex work, governance, and client interactions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own tier-3 levy cases: multi-jurisdiction orders, short-fund scenarios, priority timelines, legal coordination.
  • Serve as primary client contact for complex clarifications, process changes, and reporting packs.
  • Maintain and revise SOPs, control checklists, and risk registers; run periodic control testing.
  • Lead transition/pilot ramps, UAT for system changes, and knowledge certification.
  • Coordinate with Finance/Accounting on high-value disbursements and reconciliations.
  • Prepare governance decks (weekly/monthly): volumes, SLA, backlog, risks, improvement roadmap.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • 4 to 6 years with deep subject matter expertise in merchant taxation operations.
  • Strong stakeholder management, documentation, problem-solving; advanced Excel/PowerPoint.


Tools & Systems (Indicative):

  • Workflow tools, Excel/PowerPoint
  • Risk/control register (e.g., SharePoint/Confluence)
  • Core payments systems.


JOB DESCRIPTION FOR 4B - (Team Lead- People Manager (Team Handling experience is Mandatory):


Role Summary:

Lead day-to-day delivery across all sub-modules; ensure capacity, quality, compliance, and client satisfaction; own performance management and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery Management: forecasting, scheduling, workload balance; daily huddles; SLA tracking.
  • People Leadership: goals, 1:1s, coaching, performance reviews, succession planning, R&R.
  • Compliance & Controls: enforce makerchecker, segregation of duties, documentation standards; on-time escheatment filings; accurate levy disbursements.
  • Client Governance: drive WBR/MBR/QBR; publish MIS & dashboards; manage escalations with RCA/CAPA.
  • Process Excellence: identify automation/lean opportunities; SOP refresh cadence; defect reduction with QA/SME.
  • Risk Management: maintain risk/control matrix; flag aging items, potential penalties, and regulatory exposure.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • 4 to 6 years with 2 to 3 years in team leadership within FinOps/Payments/Tax ops.
  • Proven SLA delivery, attrition management, and client communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making; advanced Excel/PowerPoint; audit & compliance familiarity.
