Video Lead

ABP Desam, the Telugu digital news platform of the ABP Network, is looking for an experienced and dynamic Video Lead to drive and manage our digital video operations.

This role requires a passionate newsroom professional who understands Telugu digital audiences, fast-paced news cycles, and impactful video storytelling. The Video Lead will play a crucial role in ensuring that ABP Desam stands out in the Telugu digital news space with high-quality, engaging, and timely video content.

Role Overview

The Video Lead will oversee the end-to-end video operations across YouTube, Website, and Social Media platforms, guiding the team in producing breaking news videos, explainers, interviews, and special stories.

The role requires editorial judgment, strong coordination skills, and digital video expertise to ensure consistent, high-quality output that resonates with Telugu audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the digital video vertical across YouTube, website, and social media platforms
• Guide the team in identifying and producing breaking news, special stories, and explainers
• Ensure fast, accurate, and high-quality digital video output aligned with editorial standards
• Coordinate closely with news desk, reporters, and editorial teams for strong video inputs
• Manage and monitor wire services and incoming feeds to identify video opportunities
• Supervise video production workflows including script writing, editing, publishing, and optimization
• Mentor and guide video producers and presenters to improve content quality and storytelling
• Maintain the platforms competitive edge in the Telugu digital news ecosystem

Required Skills & Eligibility

• Graduate with strong knowledge of news and current affairs
• Excellent Telugu writing, speaking, and presentation skills
• Proven experience in digital news video production and newsroom operations
• Hands-on knowledge of video editing tools and digital video workflows
• Ability to work in a fast-paced digital newsroom environment
• Strong leadership and coordination skills

Desirable Skills

• Experience in on-camera presentation or anchoring
• Familiarity with live streaming tools and digital publishing platforms
• Experience producing interviews, explainers, and digital-first news formats
