Sportist India is a sports marketing and communications company working with organisations, start-ups, NGOs, academies, athletes and Olympians across the Indian sports ecosystem.

Operating at the intersection of sport, business and creativity, we help build brands through social media, digital campaigns, storytelling, design, websites, annual reports and content production. Our team works closely with a wide range of partners to create communication that makes sport more visible, relevant and meaningful.

Role Description

We are looking for a Video Editor Intern who enjoys creating fast-paced, engaging and platform-ready short-form content.

This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Koramangala, Bengaluru. The role will primarily involve editing reels and short-form videos for Sportist India and its partner brands.

The intern will be expected to create approximately 25 reels per month while working closely with the content, design and account-management teams.

Key Responsibilities

Edit approximately 15 reels and short-form videos every month

Convert raw footage into engaging, polished and platform-ready content

Add captions, titles, transitions, music, sound effects and basic motion graphics

Adapt videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other digital platforms

Research current reel formats, editing styles, audio trends and visual references

Maintain consistency with each brands visual identity and communication style

Organise raw footage and maintain structured video files and project folders

Incorporate feedback and complete revisions within agreed timelines

Support timely content around sporting events, athlete stories and campaigns

Collaborate with the content and design teams on concepts, references and storyboards

Qualifications

Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar editing software

Familiarity with mobile editing tools such as CapCut, VN or InShot

Basic knowledge of motion graphics, titles, transitions and colour correction

Good understanding of short-form video formats and social media content

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow creative direction

Ability to manage multiple edits and work within timelines

Willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work on-site in Koramangala, Bengaluru

Preferred

A portfolio or showreel featuring reels, short-form videos or digital content

Previous internship, coursework or project experience in video editing

Familiarity with Adobe After Effects is an advantage

An interest in sport, storytelling and digital media
