Overall Experience 5-8 years of IT experience in enterprise storage backup

Location Bangalore/ Mumbai

Educational Qualification BCA MCA/BE/ BTech or equivalent

Key Responsibilities

• Excellent knowledge of Veeam Backup Replication and in-depth expertise on Pure Storage platforms Flash Array, Flash Blade
• Lead end-to-end storage provisioning backup implementation and administration across on-premises and cloud environments
• Architect and design storage and backup solutions on Pure Storage integrated with Veeam for enterprise workload
• Configure and maintain backup operations for VMware Hyper-V physical servers and database clients Oracle SQL SAP MongoDB
• Deep experience with Pure Storage snapshot integration Active Cluster Active DR and Veeam native storage snapshots for rapid recovery
• Extensive experience with SAN fabrics Brocade and Cisco zoning LUN provisioning and host connectivity
• Strong knowledge of NFS CIFSSMB iSCSI Fibre Channel protocols and NASSAN environments
• Strong knowledge of deduplication replication snapshot and data tiering concepts
• Troubleshoot complex storage and backup failures perform root cause analysis RCA and drive issues to closure
• Strong foundation of knowledge around Azure AWS cloud services cloud storage and cloud DR solutions
• Experience in configuring DR as per design by leveraging on-premises datacenters and cloud environments
• Perform health checks upgrades performance tuning and patching of storage and backup infrastructure
• Proactively maintain and manage the storage and backup environment capacity forecasting and performance management
• Create Standard Operating Procedures SOPs serve as key contact for L1L2 teams and provide training knowledge transfer
• Create RCAs resolve issues and lead critical outages with vendor coordination for break fix and part replacement
• Lead weekly monthly reporting capacity forecasting and vulnerability assessments

Change Management

1. Independently prepare review implement rollback and test plans for change records Perform risk and impact analysis

Configuration Management Ensure CMDB entries are complete and accurate

PowerShell Shell scripting knowledge and automation skills for provisioning monitoring and management

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Flexibility to work in 24*7 shift model and provide on call support

1. Desired Skills

Maintain and test backup and disaster recovery plans lead DR drills

Experience with data migration storage to storage and backup migration

Knowledge of archival policies encryption and data classification

Experience with proactive monitoring and backup storage failure remediation

Knowledge of other storage platforms Dell NetApp Hitachi is a plus

Knowledge of ITIL and delivery processes

Experience in setting and integrating existing storage infrastructure to cloud storage options

Certifications Good to Have

Veeam Certified Engineer VMCE or equivalent

Pure Storage Certified Professional or equivalent

Azure Administrator AZ104 or AWS Solutions Architect Associate

SNIA Storage Networking certification
