The Role
This is not a Solutions Engineer role. The title says Presales the job is transformation consulting without the consulting firm overhead. You will show up before there is anything to demo. You will sit with a collections floor manager and map every failure point in how their team identifies, prioritises, and resolves overdue accounts. You will ask why five times until you find the real problem not the one the Business Head described in the first meeting. And then you will design a solution from that problem outward, not from Vymo's product catalog inward.You will work in lockstep with the Account Directors building ROI cases together, iterating on value propositions together, and continuously improving how Vymo's transformation story lands at each stage of the sales cycle. The Account Executive owns the commercial relationship. You as a Value Architect make them look smarter in every technical and process conversation they walk into.
If you are looking for a role where your primary output is a polished demo and a technically accurate slide deck this is the wrong role. If you are looking for a role where you spend real time understanding how large financial institutions actually work, and then design the change that makes them work better read on.
The best outcome of this role: a Head of Collections at a large NBFC finishes a 60-minute discovery session with you and says 'this person understands our operation better than most of my own team'. That is the standard.
What You Will Do
1. Lead Discovery & Problem Definition
- Lead discovery sessions to understand client processes, operational bottlenecks, and transformation opportunities.
- Use structured problem-solving techniques (process mapping, stakeholder interviews, root cause analysis) to identify underlying business challenges.
- Align leadership, operations, and data perspectives before defining a solution approach.
2. Design Transformation Solutions
- Design solutions that improve business processes and operating models, not just product configurations.
- Partner with clients to co-create scalable, practical solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Define clear success metrics, scope, and implementation hypotheses for pilots and transformation initiatives.
3. Build Business Cases & Value Realization
- Develop ROI models using client data to quantify business impact and value creation.
- Partner with business and finance stakeholders to build credible, defensible value cases.
- Continuously refine business outcomes and value hypotheses as discovery progresses.
4. Partner Closely with Sales Teams
- Work alongside Account Directors throughout the sales cycle, from discovery to deal closure.
- Help shape value propositions, executive presentations, and customer-specific solution narratives.
- Ensure commercial commitments remain aligned with solution feasibility and business outcomes.
5. Build & Scale Presales Excellence
- Develop reusable discovery frameworks, solution patterns, and ROI models that improve team effectiveness.
- Share market, customer, and implementation insights with Product and Engineering teams.
- Represent Vymo's transformation capabilities with customers, industry forums, and BFSI leadership communities.
What You Will Bring
Experience & Fluency
- Experience & Workflow Depth: 5 8 years in Presales, Solutions, or Management Consulting with deep expertise mapping BFSI workflows (Lending, Collections, Insurance Distribution, or Sales Productivity).
- Discovery & Value Engineering: Proven track record leading discovery-led engagements to build data-backed business cases, ROI models, and clear financial/operational outcome recommendations.
- Enterprise Sales Partnership: Experience co-owning complex sales cycles alongside enterprise AEs, balancing customer needs with commercial and delivery feasibility.
- AI & Tech Transformation: Ability to translate complex process breakdowns into clear discussions on AI-enabled operating models, integration architectures, and data governance with CXOs.

- Curiosity & Agency: Obsessed with diagnosing root causes before proposing tech; you use discovery to isolate structural problems rather than treating symptoms, building the operational script as you go.
