Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage US audit engagements from planning through completion.
  • Perform and review financial statement audits in accordance with US GAAP, US GAAS, and AICPA auditing standards.
  • Conduct audit planning, risk assessment procedures, and develop audit strategies based on identified risks.
  • Evaluate, document, and test internal controls over financial reporting and recommend process improvements.
  • Perform substantive testing, analytical review procedures, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of audit evidence.
  • Review audit workpapers, supporting schedules, financial statements, and audit documentation for quality and compliance.
  • Prepare audit reports, management letters, and other client deliverables.
  • Review and ensure compliance with accounting standards including ASC 842 (Lease Accounting) and ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition).
  • Execute and review Audit, Review, Compilation, and Agreed-Upon Procedures (AUP) engagements.
  • Perform audits for a diverse portfolio of clients, including Not-for-Profit (NFP) organizations, Employee Benefit Plans (EBPs), Broker-Dealers, Financial Institutions, and Commercial Entities.
  • Coordinate directly with US clients, engagement managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of engagements.
  • Mentor, train, and supervise junior audit staff, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
  • Ensure all engagements are completed within established timelines while maintaining the highest standards of audit quality and professional compliance.
  • Stay updated on changes in US accounting and auditing standards, industry regulations, and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement.
