Unix Linux System Administrator

Required Skills

• Linux/Unix administration across RHEL 6/7/8/9, CentOS, Ubuntu, OEL, and IBM AIX.
• Storage & filesystems: LVM, XFS, EXT3/EXT4, JFS.
• Package management: YUM, DNF, RPM, APT.
• Shell scripting (Bash / Korn Shell).
• Performance & diagnostics: top, vmstat, iostat, sar, ps, netstat, ss, lsof.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, NTP.
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and log analysis.

Qualifications skills

• 510 years of hands-on Unix/Linux administration experience.
• Minimum 3+ years in an L2 Production Support role.
• Experience supporting enterprise environments with 500+ servers.
• Experience in 24x7 enterprise support environments.
• Experience in incident, problem, and change management
• Ready to work in Rotational shifts.

Good to have skills

• VMware and cloud exposure (Azure / AWS / OCI preferred).
• IBM AIX administration.
• RHCSA / RHCE certification.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• IBM AIX Administration certification.
