Role Overview

We are looking for a Backend Developer (TypeScript + Python) to join the product engineering team at iNextLabs. You will work on building and scaling iNextLabs Portal Services, contributing to backend systems, APIs, and AI-integrated services. This role is suited for engineers who enjoy building robust backend architectures, take ownership of services, and are interested in working in an AI-driven product environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable backend services using TypeScript (Node.js) and Python

Design and build RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs for product features and integrations

Implement microservices and distributed systems for high-performance applications

Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) for efficient data modelling and querying

Integrate AI/ML services and external APIs into backend workflows

Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and AI teams

Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and documentation

Participate in agile development, sprint planning, and delivery

Required Skills & Experience

24 years of hands-on experience in backend development

Strong proficiency in TypeScript (Node.js, Express.js or similar frameworks)

Strong experience with Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Django)

Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs

Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and system design

Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or MySQL

Familiarity with Git and modern CI/CD workflows

Understanding of backend fundamentals (authentication, authorization, scalability, performance, security)

Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP)

Nice to Have

Experience building or integrating AI/GenAI-powered backend services

Exposure to LLM APIs, prompt orchestration, or AI service pipelines

Experience with message queues and event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)

Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments

Understanding of AI-driven use cases such as chat systems, insights engines, automation, or recommendation systems

(Hands-on expertise is not mandatory curiosity and willingness to learn is key.)
