Learn more about: Customer Key Responsibilities: We are seeking a Full Stack Developer with 47 years of experienceto joinour Custom Applications team. This team builds andmaintainspurpose-built web applications and full-scale enterprise platforms that power critical financial operations including reimbursement tracking, market access analytics, and rebate processing. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes ownership of features end-to-end, proactively engages Product Owners with clarifying and leading questions rather than waiting for tasks to be assigned, and brings strong opinions on data integrity, schema design, and validation. Because the applications we build handle high-volume financial data with strict accuracy requirements, a deep understanding of data modelling, schema design, and validation logic is just as important as front-end or API development skills. You will work alongside UX designers, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders in an agile environment with evolving requirements. Front-End Development: Build responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces inReact(functional components, hooks, context/state management) using theClientDesign System-Reactcomponentlibraryas the primary building block. ApplyTailwind CSSandadditionalReact libraries for custom layouts, styling, or functionality beyond Translate Figma designs and wireframes into clean, maintainable,production-readyReact code. Implementclient-side validation, error handling, and form logicappropriate forfinancial data-entry workflows (e.g., rebate submissions, reimbursement claims). Back-End Development: Design and developRESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js(or equivalent frameworks such asFastify/NestJS) to serve front-end applications. Own thedata model and database schema design(relational and/or NoSQL), ensuring referential integrity,normalisation, and clear entity relationships that reflect business rules. Implement robustserver-side data validationlayers (e.g., Joi, Zod, AJV) to enforce business rules, prevent invalid financial transactions, andmaintaindata quality. Write andmaintaindatabase migrations and seed scripts; work with SQL (PostgreSQL / MySQL) or document stores as required by the application. Integrate with internal and external services, third-party APIs, and downstream systems for data exchange and processing. Data Integrity, Validation & Financial Logic: Collaborate with business analysts and POs to translatefinancial business rules(rebate tiers, reimbursement eligibility, pricing models) into enforceable validation logic at both the API and database layers. Designdata-validation pipelinesthat catch anomalies, duplicates, and rule violations before data reaches downstream reporting or payment systems. Ensureaudit-trail capabilitiesare built into application data flows for compliance and traceability. Ownership & Proactive Collaboration: Takeend-to-end ownershipof features from understanding business intent, asking clarifying questions, breaking down stories, developing, testing, and deploying. Proactively engage withProduct Owners and business stakeholders:identifygaps in requirements, ask leading questions, surface edge cases, and propose solutions rather than waiting for direction. Participate insprint ceremonies(stand-ups, planning, retros, demos) and contribute meaningfully to backlog refinement. Collaborate with DevOps on deployment pipelines, environment management, and production readiness. Write andmaintaintechnical documentation, including API contracts, data dictionaries, schema diagrams, and onboarding guides. Required Skills and Qualifications: 47 yearsof professional experience in full stack development withReacton the front end andNode.json the back end. StrongproficiencyinJavaScript (ES6+)and solid understanding of asynchronous patterns, closures, and module systems. Hands-on experience withReact (functional components, hooks, state management)and component-library-driven development. Experience buildingRESTful APIs with Node.js/Express(orFastify/NestJS), including middleware, authentication, and error handling. Strong understanding ofrelational database design(PostgreSQL, MySQL) normalisation, indexing, migrations, and queryoptimisation. Proven ability to design and implementdata-validation schemas and business-rule enforcementat both API and database levels. Familiarity withREST API design best practices, versioning, pagination, and error contracts. Understanding ofaccessibility standards (WCAG)and responsive layout principles. Good working knowledge ofGit, branching strategies, and pull-request workflows. Strongcommunicationand stakeholder management skills able to translate between business language and technical decisions. Self-driven work ethic: comfortable taking initiative, managing multiple deliverables, and working with minimal supervision. Preferred / Nice-to-Have: Working knowledge ofTypeScriptfor type-safe, maintainable codebases across front end and back end. Experience withORM/query-builder toolssuch as Prisma,Sequelize, Knex, orTypeORM. Familiarity withmessage queues or event-driven architectures(e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS) for asynchronous processing. Exposure tocontaineriseddevelopment and deployment(Docker, ECS/EKS). Prior experience in aregulated industry(pharma, healthcare, finance) where compliance, data accuracy, and audit readiness are paramount. Experience withautomated testing(unit, integration, E2E) using Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or similar frameworks. Familiarity withrole-based access control (RBAC)patterns and enterprise dashboard design. Experience withCI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)and environment promotion workflows.
