Job Description
Lead regulatory reporting execution and controls remediation across multi-asset Market Operations, driving accuracy, risk reduction, and process efficiency.
As a Transaction Processing Team Leader in Market Operations, you oversee daily regulatory reporting, controls execution, and remediation activities while driving continuous process improvement. You partner closely with Middle Office, Front Office, and internal counterparts to ensure accurate trade reporting and timely issue resolution across Credit, Rates, Equity, FX, Commodities, and Fixed Income. You help protect the firm by identifying control gaps, analyzing MI for trends and spikes, and improving end-to-end processes to reduce operational and regulatory risk.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by validating deal bookings against risk management systems and actual reporting.
- Review unissued/unexecuted documentation, escalating risks promptly to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Drive process efficiency by identifying incorrect booking practices and educating Middle Office on downstream impacts.
- Build strong working relationships with Middle Office, Front Office, and internal counterparts to enable effective issue resolution.
- Investigate issues end-to-end and resolve them within defined business standards and timelines.
- Prepare weekly MIS and monthly control packs for senior management, highlighting key metrics and risks.
- Participate in testing and change delivery for system enhancements, project implementations, and new business initiatives.
Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities
- Self-starter with a strong controls mindset and demonstrated partnership and ownership behaviors
- Strong communication skills across operational and trading stakeholders
- Solid understanding of trade lifecycles across Markets products
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-complexity environment with shifting priorities
Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities
- Prior experience in MiFID regulatory reporting
- Fixed Income product knowledge with exposure to Credit Derivatives
- Experience producing management information (MIS) and control packs, including trend/spike analysis
- Experience identifying control gaps and implementing process improvements in a regulated operations environment
