Training Manager Learning & Development (Interiors Industry)

Location: Dubai & India

Experience: 610 Years

Reporting To: Group HR Manager


Candidates must possess a minimum of 6 years of dedicated experience in Learning & Development (L&D). Applicants with a background primarily in HR Generalist roles or other non-L&D HR functions are not eligible to apply.

Role Overview


The Training Manager L&D will be responsible for conceptualizing, building, and executing the complete Learning & Development framework from scratch for an interiors-focused organization. The role covers technical, behavioral, safety, quality, and leadership training across site-level workforce, engineers, designers, project managers, sales teams, and senior leadership.


Key Responsibilities


1. L&D Strategy & Framework

  • Design and implement a company-wide L&D strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Create training architecture covering onboarding, functional skills, soft skills, compliance, and leadership development.
  • Establish competency frameworks for Level 1 employees up to management.

2. Training Needs Analysis (TNA)

  • Conduct detailed TNA across site staff, designers, project teams, procurement, sales, and management.
  • Identify skill gaps related to interiors execution, quality standards, timelines, client handling, and safety.

3. Program Design & Content Development

  • Develop training modules for:
  • Site & Level 1 Staff (helpers, supervisors, technicians)
  • Engineers, Designers & Project Managers
  • Sales, CRM & Client Interaction Teams
  • People Managers & Leadership
  • Create SOP-based training for interior execution, material knowledge, quality checks, safety protocols, and tools/software.
  • Build training manuals, presentations, videos, toolkits, and assessments.

4. Training Delivery & Facilitation

  • Conduct classroom, on-site, and virtual training programs.
  • Train site teams on execution standards, safety, productivity, and quality control.
  • Facilitate soft skills, communication, leadership, and managerial effectiveness programs.

5. Learning Systems & Processes

  • Set up onboarding and induction programs from scratch.
  • Implement LMS or internal training trackers for attendance, progress, and certifications.
  • Create train-the-trainer programs to build internal faculty.

6. Performance & Impact Measurement

  • Define training KPIs and ROI metrics.
  • Measure effectiveness through assessments, on-the-job application, and performance improvement.
  • Publish training dashboards and reports for management review.

7. Compliance, Safety & Quality Training

  • Ensure regular training on:
  • Safety standards and site compliance
  • Quality benchmarks and audits
  • Process adherence and SOPs
  • Coordinate with Operations and Quality teams.

8. Leadership & Culture Development

  • Design leadership development programs for first-time managers to senior leaders.
  • Drive culture-building initiatives aligned with company values.
  • Support succession planning and talent development initiatives.


Required Skills & Competencies


  • Strong expertise in L&D strategy building from scratch
  • Experience in interiors, construction, real estate, or project-based industries (preferred)
  • Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong instructional design and content creation capability
  • Data-driven approach to measuring training effectiveness
  • Hands-on, execution-focused mindset


Educational Qualification


  • MBA / PG Diploma in HR, L&D, Organizational Development, or equivalent
  • L&D / Training certifications will be an added advantage


Experience


  • 610 years in Learning & Development
  • Proven experience in setting up L&D systems from zero
  • Exposure to multi-level workforce training (blue-collar to leadership)
