Role: Technical Associate Tooling & Manufacturing Engineering

Location: Oragadam, Chennai

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Tooling Engineer to support production by ensuring the availability of fixtures, tooling, and quality equipment. This role plays a key part in minimizing downtime and improving OEE in Valve Body and Carrier production lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Tooling management maintenance, procurement & inventory
• Handle HMC, VMC, Broaching, Power Skiving & Grinding machines
• Troubleshooting tooling issues & process improvements
• Cutting tool resharpening & lifecycle management
• Work with Zoller presetter & tool storage systems
• Vendor coordination & on-time tool delivery
• Conduct trials & prepare reports
• Track tooling KPIs cost, breakage, savings
• Ensure safety, TPM & 5S adherence
• Implement Poka-Yoke & continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• 35 years of experience in tooling / CNC machining
• Strong CNC tooling & troubleshooting knowledge
• Exposure to TPM & continuous improvement projects
• Skills: AutoCAD, MS Office, CNC tooling
